No! We close for two to three weeks at the beginning of the year for upkeep on the building. Our hours on Google are accurate and we update on our social media pages regularly any time our hours change.
Loved the food and the staff was very attentive even with Covid.TGANK YOU!!
Great spot for breakfast! Friendly staff and delicious food. The bacon is amazing, and I’m also a huge fan of the fruit-topped waffles and French toast. I wish there was more seating inside, as it tends to get crowded, but I haven’t had an issue yet with finding a table so I guess it’s not that huge of a deal. Overall, definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good breakfast option in Black Mountain.
Food. Was. Amazing! Service was great. Two words: Grit Cakes. During our long weekend stay, we went twice (both for breakfast). Looking forward to going back during our next trip to Black Mountain.
I like this restaurant! They offer tasty food, they have a rich menu, The cook in that place is very experienced, I like a lot eating all their food. The dishes are always fresh and tasty, the service towards the customers is nice. I often eat in this place and I was never disappointed. I recommend it to all.
My wife & I live in Willow Springs, NC, we love to go to BM, we love & eat at Louise's Everytime we are up there. Wonderful service , staff is so nice & personable, food is Great ! Thankful for Bud, Carissa, and all the staff for their hospitality when we eat there.
Perfect blend of treehugger meets old South. Fresh, locally sourced. Very accommodating staff. Highly recommend.
This place was ok for several reasons. The food was very good, the sausage was so flavorful. However, it is pricy for what you get. (Eggs, sausage, bread and grits was over 13 dollars with tip). This may have been partly due to Covid (food was in to go containers instead of plates), but the service was good. Kind of weird how they do tipping - they ask you before you are served so you don’t know how the service in, and you don’t write it down. Would not go back just because there are better breakfast places in Asheville (and cheaper). Cute unique atmosphere though.
Heather is THE BEST! My coworkers and I eat here pretty regularly and we LOVE the Curry Chicken Salad and my husband always gets the Classic Reuben. We’ve had other delicious menu items but those are just a couple of favorites. The people are super nice and the food is quality so you definitely can’t go wrong here!!!!
The best impossible burger in town...i highly recommend it. Yummy 😍
This is a gem of a small town breakfast spot! The food was well worth the wait and the service was top notch. It was nice to have a veggie sausage option with my toast and eggs!
Very cool local spot for brunch. Get there early if you're going for brunch because the tables are first come, first served. The house is a really cool place for a restaurant, and the food was top notch delicious. I hope to be back for more!
A bit disappointing. My life liked her egg pesto cheese sandwich but I was disappointed in the quesadilla. Soggy and lacked flavor. Some fresh cilantro and peppers would have helped.
Great spot! We stopped in on our way out from vacation. They serve great food and welcoming smiles. We will be back. I bought the burrito.
Truthfully, from a local, this place overcharges for tiny portions. The food is okay, but don't come in expecting traditional Southern eats. There's a cool, spicy twist on what you THINK you are ordering. Still, 9 dollars for a bagel with NO side options ( same for burrito ) ...just say no. Unless you're a tourist, it's just not a place to go unless they figure out price and portion.
Food was good. Eggs were under cooked on two of three plates. Super cool setting but gets hectic, hard to refill waters and coffees when restaurant is full. Restaurant is very clean and service is great.
One of the best breakfast spots in town.
Cool spot for Sunday brunch in Black Mountain. You order at the counter and then take a playing card so they know where to bring your food. It didn't take very long at all after we ordered to get our food. There is seating within the very cool older home from the early 1900s as well as outdoor seating options around the house. I highly recommend the huevos rancheros if you're there for brunch.
This restaurant offers extraordinary service as well as delightful menu. My favourite place in the area. The food and drinks arrived rapidly and the rates are economical. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.
The mountain town front porch experience can't be missed. We came on a sunny day just before lunch. I had the biscuits and gravy, wife had the 'Mater sandwich - so delicious. It's hard not to be happy here
Cool place. Delicious blueberry waffle. Spicy sausage. Everything I love for breakfast. Reasonable prices.
Stopped here on a road trip with my wife. The Big Boy Burrito was hands down, the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. My wife had the pancakes topped with strawberries and vanilla bean syrup which was excellent. The restaurant is set in a historic house in the downtown area. Grapefruit mimosas were on the menu for brunch.Definitely a place to stop at on future trips.
Food is really good. Service is above average. Check it out if you want a good local place. I go mostly for the breakfast. It can be busy at times so be prepared to wait. Sometimes feels a bit disorganized, but a good place to eat
This breakfast spot was walking distance from our hotel. We ordered the big boy burrito and the veggie quesadilla. They were both fantastic. It’s in an old house so the set up is a little strange but there are signs literally everywhere telling you what to do and where to go. Very quick service. Really enjoyed the porch seating.
Always a pleasurable visit.Great food, service and casual dinning innit outside.I had the tomato sandwich and it was Delisious.
This place was so good! We went for brunch today and the service was great. You could just tell that everyone really enjoyed working there. The food was great and I just really loved the environment. I wish it had been a little warmer outside so we could have eaten on the porch. Definitely recommend!
This was an inviting place to eat with good atmosphere inside an old house. A hip place to grab some one of a kind breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were so on point. The coffee was really good too. Service was great!
This delightful breakfast heaven was became our morning ritual during our Black Mountain stay. We did not want to go anywhere else because we knew that nowhere else could compare! The made from scratch breakfasts and the treat-you-like-family staff and local regulars were what stole our heart. Just be sure to get there before opening on a Saturday or Sunday!
Food was local and amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful. Set in an old house simply adorable! Perfect breakfast before our hiking day around black mountain!
We stopped here on a whim. There was a little bit of a wait but it was well worth it. The food and service were amazing. I would highly recommend it.
Louise's has the best comfort food in all of Black Mountain. Their biscuits and gravy, albeit not your normal biscuits and gravy, are delicious. It's incredibly flavorful. The atmosphere makes you feel as if you were at Grandmama's house having a nice supper. I come here every time I'm in Black Mountain.
Busy little counter-service eatery with fresh options and cozy atmosphere. Expect to wait during peak times, and larger parties may experience longer wait times. Staff are friendly and prices reasonable.
I dine in this great restaurant many times a year! This is the best place to eat. I visit this place many times. The meals are excellent, the staff is polite and the payment is good. I like meeting in this place for a good dinner.
We brought our dog and sat on the porch for breakfast. Service was excellent as usual in this town. I loved the veggie quesadilla with sausage inside, and my husband enjoyed his Big Boy Burrito- though it was a normal sized burrito. The coffee is from a local roaster and brewed very well. I would recommend this if staying in Black Mountain for breakfast.
This is the spot for Black Mountain breakfast. Loved the Bloody Mary made spicy by a jalapeño IPA ($6). Grit cakes will hit the spot and are more filling than their price tag ($6.50). The restaurant’s porch is a pleasure, but if you sit at one of the inside tables, you’ll be treated to a gallery of local art – including food-themed stained glass pieces hung in the windows made by the owner’s father.
This place is one of the area's best breakfast/brunch spots. Recommended: breakfast burrito, pancakes with vanilla bean syrup and strawberries, biscuits and gravy and any of their mimosas. You can't go wrong here. Service is friendly, the old house wrap-around porch is great in nice weather, and it's walking distance from nearly everything in Black Mountain.
Great place for breakfast. Nice people
Good vegetarian options and friendly servers. Local jam and other tasty treats.
Great local establishment. I had the big-boy breakfast burrito (pictured) and it was everything I hoped it could be. My 2 year old scarfed down the French Toast before we could take a picture but he said it was "so delicious". Would definitely recommend and revisit any time I am in the area.
The food was great. The people who represented Louises kitchen were superb. I will definitely go back.
This is a great place to stop for breakfast in Black Mountain. We loved the friendly and fast service, as well as the self-service coffee and water. I got the veggie quesadilla which was a delicious savory start to my day! My mom got the French toast and was raving about the Challah 😋
No visit to Black Mountain is complete without pancakes on the front porch! Great staff and everything on the menu is awesome. I've tried basically everything over the years... but the pancakes...yessss!
Very tasty foods, but small to-go portions. Recommended!
We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. The grit cakes were well done and the biscuits and gravy had just the right amount of spice. It had a homey feel with lots of local art decorating the walls. The staff was great.
One of the top three places to eat breakfast, lunch, brunch in Black Mountain. The Impossible Burger is amazing!
I love this place! I know there are lots of great meals on the menu but I can't get past the grit cakes ( and I don't like grits!
Just wow! Go here. Menu is online and we all ate different items. All great. Did I say go here?
Great place! Kids love to climb the trees outside. Pet friendly. Great food and service. This is a MUST stop on your trip. Well worth the wait. My favorite is the powerhouse roll up?
Loved this small counter service restaurant which we found on our way to Asheville and also ate here on our trip home. We loved the fresh taste of the food, quick service, attentive staff that brought food to table and checked with us several times during our meal and bussed tables too. Prices were moderate and good sized portions. On both visits we sat outside on the wrap around porch where we could view the surrounding mountains. During busy hours we did not wait long for our food.
Wonderful breakfast and wonderful service!
Our favorite spot in Black Mountain. They are so knowledgeable of what is GF on their menu. I have Celiac and could safely order the chicken curry salad and the impossible burger (over lettuce) with potato salad. Right now in phase 2 of COVID reopening they are takeout only with dining allowed on their porch if you choose to eat there but the staff is very friendly and helpful. I can't recommend this place enough and we come every time we visit black mountain. My husband loves the turkey sandwich and biscuits and gravy!
